My aim is to give support in a safe, non-judgemental atmosphere, creating mutual trust and respect and so allowing my clients to express their thoughts freely, make healthy choices and take full control of their lives. I am an experienced fully qualified counsellor practising for over 20 years. I have counselled in doctors'' surgeries, in an organization counselling the sexually abused, in a private practice, and in a comprehensive school where I helped set up the counselling service. This has given me experience of a wide range of issues, and counselling a range of age groups. I began being interested in developing skills which would complement my counselling. I became a Reiki practitioner and Reiki Master and have been practising for the past 15 years. I found that this has helped many of my clients release emotions in a very gentle manner which has aided my counselling sessions. Having taken part in many different workshops and courses I decided to train in Thought Field Therapy. In my experience this is an amazingly powerful tool to help let go of negative emotions experienced as a result of traumas, phobias, bereavement, anorexia, low self-esteem and self harm. It can be a very effective healing experience, where one can get to the root of an emotional problem very quickly, and release it.
