a.r.a plumbing, heating + gas is a family business established by me, Andrew Riley, a qualified and registered plumbing, heating & gas engineer. The main work undertaken can be broken down into four related fields: Plumbing, Heating, Gas and Solar water heating. Our driving aim is to promote energy efficiency for plumbing and heating. For larger jobs I have a number of associate colleagues to call on enabling mixed and complex jobs to be completed with minimum stress. These related fields include an electrician, chimney specialist, roofing specialist, cabinet & furniture makers, plasterer, painter, tiler and general builder. Over time I have worked all over London. Based in Hackney, East London, many clients are spread throughout North and East London. Of course, all other areas of London are willingly covered I am Gas Safe Registered, meaning I am legally and technically qualified to work with gas. I am a Registered Heating Engineer with the industries professional body the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers (CIPHE). I am fully qualified to fit Solar Hot Water systems. Constantly I strive to learn and keep up to date with training and qualifications relevant to today’s world. I am keen to further expand and develop into the ’renewables’ area of the profession, through solar hot water and heat pumps for example. My attitude is polite, honest, amenable, professional and friendly. My work is to the best standards and I prefer to use good quality products and materials which in turn give you a better return on your investment. When considering new installations the boilers I recommend are by Viessmann or Vaillant from Germany, ATAG and Alpha from Holland. Having a stranger carry out work in your property can be unsettling. I therefore do my best to smooth this process. Whenever necessary I use dust sheets, a vacuum cleaner and always tidy up at the end of the day, even when returning in the morning. I am happy to set my working hours and day around you. Oh, and to dispel any clichés, I neither smoke, read tabloids or listen to ‘radio builder’.
