Out of sheer frustration at reacting to almost every foundation and eye makeup that I’ve used, I was on the hunt for something that wouldn’t cause my skin and my eyes to itch, skin to dry out or start flaking. I was at complete loss, I love make up but it’s ruining my skin, then I was approached by a girl on a stall selling mineral make up, she gave me a quick make over and I looked great. Skin tone looked even, it had a really lovely shine (not a oily shine), just a glowy shine, it was great...I was sold, I fell in love in ....mineral make up all the way. Then, the itching started, and the redness started to come through... great... something that is supposed to be purer then normal make up still reacts to my skin. So I started looked up all the ingredients of this mineral make up brand. Almost every ingredient pure minerals and beneficial, except 2 of the ingredients, Bismuth – Oxychloride (a by product of refined lead and copper) and carmine (crushed beetle). Not good for sensitive skin and not really liking the idea of have a dead beetle as part of my make up routine, I began my search for something purer and more natural, thus Bohemian Chic Minerals is born.
