Hot Stone Massage Course

Hot Stone Massage is an ancient treatment which involves both the Placement Of Stones and the Application and Massage using them. They are a brilliant aid for the Therapist to work deeply on a client without any trauma to their hands. One stone massage stroke is equivalent to 10 normal massage strokes.

The physical and spiritual well-being induced by the stones is amazing.

The treatment is a lovely one to give that brings immediate benefits.

Swedish Body Massage

This is the most common massage taught. It encompasses many different massage moves from light gliding strokes with Effleurage to the more deeper massage strokes with Percussion. This massage helps relieve muscle fatique and stimulates relaxation.

Holistic Body Massage

The Holistic Massage has many therapeutic qualities. The term ‘Holistic’ comes from the Greek word ‘Holism’, which means to treat the whole of the being, mind body and spirit. The course includes a short meditation, grounding, connecting and a powerful 45 minute massage routine exclusive to the Angel Academy.

Acupressure Seated Massage

A Massage performed in an adapted chair where the client is positioned forward. Combining Acupressure techniques, this is a great massage to loosen up the body.

Bamboo Massage

Bamboo is rubbed in controlled moves along the body to iron out tension and release knots and fibrous adhesions.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage traditionally was an ancient healing process known to relieve headaches, stress and tension. Hair was strengthened and conditioned too with the use of certain oils. Today, the fashionable hair salons provide the use of Indian Head Massage as a means of relaxation, and it ’ s popularity is increasing rapidly. On-Site practitioners now visit offices to provide treatments, bringing Indian Head Massage into our working day. In fact, Indian Head Massage is more than a massage, it is an overall healing therapy which involves chakra, colour and crystal therapy. Essential oils can be added to the scalp by a trained aromatherapist to induce a real state of well-being

Holistic Facial

The ‘Holistic’ facial massage is usually done by applying gentle pressure using your fingers resulting in the relief of tension and reduction of overall stress leading to improvement in the skin appearance. In addition to reducing tension other benefits of facial massage include tightening of muscle tone in the facial area, relief of eyestrain, reduction the effects of stress and anxiety as well as overall feeling of relaxation

Ultimate Uplift Facial

Also known as the Indian Face Massage (Facial rejuvenation) this facial gives a natural facelift through massage.

It is designed to be a gentle non-surgical approach to maintaining and keeping a youthful appearance. It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and in the connective tissue

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of BodyWork that specifically involves the manipulation of the feet. Reflexology dates back to Egyptian times and it’s theory is that there are reflexes found on the feet that have a direct relationship with a specific area of the body. This means that the entire body both internally and externally can be reached by having Reflexology. Within ‘zones’ of the feet, specific body parts can be targeted and stimulated.

Tibetan Hand and Foot Massage

Thai Hand and Foot Massage uses a combination of techniques from Shiatsu, Chinese Massage, Yoga, and Reflexology. Just as in Reflexology, concentration is given to the 10 major energy lines in the body, which run from the top of the head all the way the soles of the feet. These lines end into 'pressure points', which reflect a complete map of the entire body and all its organs on the soles

Anatomy & Physiology

The study and certification of Anatomy and Physiology is a pre-requisite required in order to legally carry out treatments as a working therapist. It allows a therapist to recognise how their treatment can effect and improve bodily functions.
