Tend & Care can help you look after your loved one’s plot by visiting the cemetery to either tidy your loved ones’ grave in advance of your visit, or alternatively, if you are unable to attend the cemetery yourself, to tidy the grave on your behalf. We offer different levels of care, based on visits per annum, from a one-off visit to monthly upkeep. You can then be assured that the grave will look exactly as you wish, at any time of the year, including the placement of flowers or a wreath, should you be unable to arrange for this yourself. SERVICES Grave Tending Washing of the headstone to remove any surface moss, algae, dirt or bird droppings, followed by a polish with a soft clean cloth to enhance the appearance Trimming of long grass around and in front of the headstone and also the edges of the grave Removal of all weeds by hand Seeding of any bare soil around the grave area with lawn seed where appropriate Light pruning of any heathers, shrubs or small trees where required Replenish grave vase with freshly cut seasonal flowers or artificial flowers where requested by customer Photographs once the work has been fully completed with any relevant comments *Additional Options (available on request) Planting of seasonal bedding plants Planting of spring flowering bulbs Planting of small shrubs/heathers/conifers Adding of top soil and compost Turfing work Curb edging set replacement, or renewal Stone/pebble/slate chippings laid or renewed Lettering *The additional Options can be carried out, subject to Quotation We currently cover an area within a 20 mile radius of Wantage, which includes: Abingdon Chieveley Cholsey Compton Didcot Faringdon Lambourn Oxford Witney However, should you require our services outside of these areas, please do contact us - we can travel further afield and quotations are available on request.
