Clifford Garrett is a professional conservator/restorer engaged in the conservation and restoration of fine antique, period, and modern furniture. Services include woodwork repairs (structural and surface) and an extensive range of surface finishing and polishing with emphasis given to the retention of acquired surface patina. Architectural restoration services are offered for repair and hand-finishing of most wooden artefacts and architectural features, including floors, wall panelling, staircases, balustrades, etc. Based in Northiam near Rye, East Sussex, estimates are given freely for all items brought to my workshop (by appointment only please) or within an hours round trip. Greater distances are by negotiation. Smaller items can be transported by my own vehicle with larger item carriage arranged through an independent carrier.
