Reiki ~ Healing Hands is a mobile service providing Reiki treatments in the comfort of your own home. Reiki is a gentle non-intrusive and beautifully relaxing experience. However, it is deceptively powerful! A treatment lasts for an hour, lying down on a treatment couch, fully clothed. If for any reason you are unalbe to lie down, the treatment can be done sitting in a chair. Soothing music will be played in the background; all you need to do is lie back, relax and enjoy. The whole experience is one of deep relaxation. I just place my hands on or above your body and begin channelling Reiki energy through my hands. A Reiki treatment usually starts at your head. Gradually, moving down your body and finishing at your feet. This enables the energy to flow to the source of the problem, healing mind, body and soul. Reiki is not a religion. It is beneficial to everyone whether you are religious or not. Many different sensations may be experienced. For instance, a feeling of tingling through the body, or ''hot spots'' beneath the practitioner''s hands. Occasionally, there is an emotional release as suppressed trauma is brought to the surface and tears ''wash it away''. Sometimes different colours are seen but whatever is experienced there is often a sense of disappointment when the treatment is over. Miracles do occasionally happen but the effect of Reiki is generally cumulative; bring the mind, body & soul back into balance, creating a sense of well-being and a more positive outlook on life. For this reason, a course of four to six sessions is recommended to gain optimum benefit. I do home visits in the Sunderland, South Tyneside, Hebburn, Jarrow, Durham, Consett, Chester-le-Street, Newcastle, Hexham, North Shields, Whitley Bay, Darlington, Middlesborough, Hartlepool and any surrounding areas.
