The Living Way is a ''not for profit charity'' (registered charity number 1150721) offering accessible and affordable counselling to all. We are a small Sunderland based Counselling Service that offers counselling to all within a Christian environment. Our counselling rooms are within easy access of the city centre. Although our counsellors are Christian, we do not impose our own values or beliefs on clients, but are willing to include the Christian dimensions into sessions where appropriate. Our counsellors have a variety of skills and qualifications and work using an integrative approach. They believe that the most important ingredient in any counselling process is the establishing of a genuine, accepting and warm counselling relationship. Counselling can help with a wide variety of problems and it is our conviction that anyone can benefit from counselling. We all experience difficult times, those seeking counselling may be Christian or of another faith or no faith. Counselling can help with any of the following; this is not an exhaustive list Depression, Anxiety and Stress, Relationship Difficulties, Anger and Frustration, Bereavement and Loss, Low confidence and self-esteem, Issues arising from abuse, Transitions and life stages, Work-related difficulties, Spiritual concerns, Faith Issues and Family issues. We offer one to one, couple and relationship therapy and in some circumstances family therapy.
