Esme''s Nursery is a family owned and run day nursery providing full and part-time care for children from 8 weeks to 5 years of age. It is based in a beautiful old merchant''s house in the heart of Newport, right next to the Civic Centre. The nursery is named after the owners'' grandma, who was a head teacher in Cwmbran and had devoted her professional life to giving children in the South Wales area the best start in life. When she sadly passed away in 2010 her grandsons, Martin, Kevin and Andrew Phillips, decided that the best legacy they could leave her would be a nursery named in her honour as both Martin and Kevin''s partners are nursery managers by trade. Esme''s great grandson, Frankie, was the nursery''s first child when we opened in June 2011 and now we have nearly 40 children learning, playing and growing at our fantastic setting.
