We can ensure that the timing of our window installation works best for your project. To start with we do most of our surveys in evenings or weekends that fit in with you. Our Philosophy Replacement Windows and Doors: Our methodology is to replace completely the existing and doors, rather than to renovate. So when we bring our windows to site we know we can promise a complete working system. The main reason for this: *The weight of the new sashes (with double glazing) is often not suitable for the existing structure *The time spent on site is dramatically reduced and therefore the cost *Quality control within our factory will ensure that the window mechanism, movement and draft seals are perfect before arriving on site *The quality of our paint finish is so smooth that when it comes to repaint the window the woodwork does not need to be rubbed down *We are the only company that also spray finish all the additional woodwork and architrave to ensure the finish carries over the whole installation. The paint finish is so smooth it wont need to be prepared before repainting. SASH WINDOWS Window Republic produces all types of classic timber sash windows, meeting the needs of UK properties. We always aim at maximising the original charm of your period property by re-producing exact copies of the original sash windows. When we are working in London, many councils have strict design and quality rules. We are one of few companies that is pre-approved by Conservation Areas in London such as the Mapesbury Conservation area. Timber used We only use the highest quality soft & hardwood timber for our sash windows: Nordic Pine Siberian Larch Oak We only use engineered quality wood for optimal product durability. If properly maintained, our sash windows will last a lifetime, and beyond. Glazing For the glazing we use the most modern double glazing technology that is currently on the market. All our double glazing is Argon-filled and offers a 1.4W/(m²K) to 1.5W/(m²K) U-Value and are ''B'' energy Rated. We source our glass from major manufacturers such as Saint-Gobain® and SZILÁNK®. White Edgetech super spacers or white aluminium spacers within the double glazing units produce an optimal visual blend-in. Finish All our sash windows have three paint coats: one basecoat primer, one preservative undercoat and a white semi gloss, micro porous topcoat finish. (Sikkens Rubol WF380), All paint is spray finished and is replicated during the installation process on adjoining wood work by our own installers.
