It has never been a more cost effective time to carryout demolition or remediation than now. We can guarantee using our services will save you far more than we cost. DSL have a proven track record in increasing project safety while reducing project costs by up to 50%. It’s paramount under the new CDM regulation that accurate and compliant information packs are produced for tender purposes reducing the client’s exposure to risk and minimizing the chance of costly change during the works. Whether you just want advice, asset recovery, budgets, assistance with claims, accurate tender documents or DSL to run your project we will be happy to assist. We have expert contract knowledge NEC, Alliance and many other forms of contract to ensure that the safest and most efficient results are gained from the contractors on site. Our bespoke management system takes care of all the EA, HSE and new CDM requirements while maintaining safe effective control and management of the works on site. We have extensive knowledge of the new CDM regulations which now put more onerous requirements on the client and we can assist with any difficulties you may have. A few key changes in the regulations are listed below • The Client is ultimately responsible for ensuring adequate information is provided to Contractors. If the Principal Contractor fails to make relevant information available to sub contractors then the Client may well be held responsible, in addition to the Principal Contractor. • The Pre-tender plan has been abolished, and replaced with a much more practical ‘Information Pack for Contractors’. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure it is prepared but in reality he will be asking the CDM co-ordinator to prepare it. It contains all the relevant information that would assist designers, principal contractors and all contractors directly appointed by the client to manage health and safety. It will contain drawings, survey reports and other relevant site specific information. • The Client has a statutory duty to ensure competence of contractors, to ensure suitable management arrangements are in place and to allow sufficient time in all construction work not only for the larger notifiable projects but for all non-notifiable work also. • Contractors are now legally responsible for ensuring their employees have been given adequate site induction. It is not the sole legal responsibility of the Principal Contractor to ensure a sub contractor''s worker is adequately informed of all the hazards on site. I’d welcome the opportunity to catch up and discuss your current requirements. Why not call or e-mail me for a no obligation discussion, see how DSL can make things work together – better, safer and at a lower cost.
